Tinubu arrives Akwa Ibom for inaugurations, APC rally

President Bola Tinubu on Friday arrived in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, for a working visit to inaugurate projects executed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration and attend a political rally.
The President departed Abuja on Friday morning for a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers, his first major outing in the South-South since the All Progressives Congress commenced mobilisation for the 2027 general elections.
He was received at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, by Eno, top government officials, APC leaders and a large crowd of supporters who thronged the airport.
Tinubu is scheduled to inaugurate several projects completed by the Eno administration, including the new international terminal building, the International Airport Hospital and the Ibom Aviation Village, all located at the Victor Attah International Airport.
He is also expected to inaugurate the Airport-Okopedi Road, which connects communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, as well as Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.
Other projects listed for inauguration include the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, the Command and Control Centre and the ARISE Palm Resort.
After the inaugurations, the President is expected to proceed to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium for a political rally organised by the APC.
