“Luton Town Drop to League One After Relegation Blow”

1 min read

Nigeria: Luton Town FC have been relegated to League One following a 5-3 defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, marking a second consecutive demotion for the club.

The Hatters, who finished 22nd in the Championship, will now compete in the third tier of English football during the 2025/26 season. This latest setback comes just one year after their relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Luton’s drop to League One sees them join Cardiff City and Plymouth Argyle, while Hull City, Preston North End, and Derby County secured their Championship status.
