Abuja, Nigeria — Saudi-based firm Mashariq Al Dhabia has finalized an amended contract with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to provide services for Nigerian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj.
The agreement follows a prior dispute, where the company had threatened legal action against NAHCON over alleged breaches of the original contract regarding service provision at Masha’ir.
In a notable shift, a delegation from Mashariq Al Dhabia, led by Chairman Muhammad Hassan, visited NAHCON’s headquarters in Abuja on February 22 to formalize the revised agreement.
NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Seleh Usman, explained that the amendment was necessary to address concerns in the initial contract and ensure seamless Hajj operations.
“The delegation from Mashariq Al Dhabia has signed an updated contract to serve Nigerian pilgrims. This amendment clarifies key aspects of our agreement, reinforcing our shared commitment to delivering top-quality services,” Usman stated.
He reassured intending pilgrims that preparations for the 2025 Hajj were on track, dismissing speculation about contract cancellations.
Mashariq Al Dhabia’s chairman, Muhammad Hassan, expressed appreciation to NAHCON and pledged to uphold service excellence.
“We pray for Allah’s guidance in making this partnership successful. Nigerian pilgrims can expect the highest standards of service,” Hassan affirmed.
The agreement marks a renewed commitment to ensuring a smooth pilgrimage experience for Nigerians.
