BVAS Delay Creates Long Queue at Polling Unit

Voters at the affected polling unit in ASIPA/AKINLALU WARD 1 UNIT 1… WARD 2 UNIT 2 are experiencing delays in the accreditation process due to the slow performance of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).

According to one of the voters interviewed by InfoGiant 97.1 FM, the BVAS machine is taking an average of seven to ten minutes to recognize each voter, resulting in a long queue at the polling unit.

The voters have appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to urgently address the situation and improve the efficiency of the accreditation process, as many are still waiting patiently to exercise their civic responsibility.
