The Popular Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, fondly known as Sunday Igboho, on Tuesday urged the federal government to remove his name from the wanted list and prioritize security in the southwest region.
Igboho appealed during a visit to the Olu of Ife, Oba Francis Olusola Alao, in his palace on Tuesday. Igboho Oba, who arrived at the monarch’s palace at about 4:20 pm with his entourage, seeks royal backing for his full freedom and reintegration into Nigeria.
“I am happy that I am not free in my fatherland,” Igboho said. I want the federal government to remove my name from the wanted list because I am not a criminal.
He expressed deep appreciation to Oba Alao for his unwavering support throughout his ordeal. Speaking on religious security, Igboho urged the government to appoint competent individuals to safeguard the southwest. If they cannot let me handle it, they should assign it to someone capable, and we will give our full support.
Oba Alao expressed confidence in the continuity of Yoruba leadership at the federal level, asserting, Tinubu will complete his eight years. A Yoruba man will be in the presidency until 2031
