Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has refuted claims that he allocated 501 hectares of land in Abuja to Ghanaian businessman Sir Sam Jonah for the development of River Park Estate.

In a letter to the Inspector General of Police, Obasanjo described the claim as “untrue, fictitious, misleading, and libelous,” maintaining he never gave land to Jonah or his companies.

The denial follows a petition from Jonah amid an ongoing investigation into alleged forgery and illegal takeover attempts involving River Park Estate.

Jonah, along with two other Ghanaians and Nigerian lawyer Abu Arome, faces arraignment over accusations of forging CAC documents to seize control of companies, including Houses for Africa Nigeria Ltd and Jonah Capital Nigeria Ltd. They will appear before Justice Modupe-Osho Adebiyi at the FCT High Court.
