Presidency Declares Major Security Gains, Says Only Criminal Acts Remain – Bwala

1 min read

The Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has declared that Nigeria’s security situation has significantly improved under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Bwala asserted that President Tinubu has fulfilled his primary constitutional obligation: ensuring the security and welfare of citizens.

“Insecurity has been degraded to a large extent,” Bwala stated. “What we’re seeing now are criminal tendencies, which exist in every part of the world and have no direct link to whether a government is performing well.”

He cited reduced violence in Benue, Plateau, and a decline in the IPOB-related unrest in the Southeast as evidence of the administration’s success.

Bwala argued that Nigerians now enjoy freer movement and access to public life, which was previously hampered by rampant insecurity.
