Osun State Celebrates 34 Years Since Creation

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on Wednesday paid glowing tributes to the founding fathers of the state as he rolled out his administration’s scorecard in commemoration of the 34th anniversary of Osun’s creation.

In a statewide broadcast, Adeleke described the creation of Osun in 1991 as the result of courage, sacrifice, and determination by visionary leaders. “Their labour was not in vain; they fought for generations yet unborn,” he said.

The governor outlined progress under his administration, including the renovation of over 200 primary healthcare centres, ongoing school upgrades, regular salary payments, fertiliser subsidies, tractor support for farmers, and empowerment schemes for small businesses.

He urged citizens to uphold unity, transparency, and the Omoluabi values, stressing that Osun’s dream of prosperity and self-reliance is achievable through collective effort.

“Together, we can make Osun a model of excellence and progress,” Adeleke declared.
