Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi has announced a temporary break from public engagements for a few days after doctors advised him to take medical rest. In a statement on Saturday, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) disclosed that he began to feel unwell while attending a tourism programme in Enugu.
Peter Obi said after undergoing medical checks, he was prescribed medication and told to take one or two days off his usually packed schedule. I sincerely apologise for any inconveniences this might cause and humbly plead for understanding.”
He, however, assured supporters and associates that he remains committed to his engagements and will return to public activities after his recovery.
