The management in a memo signed by the institution’s Registrar, Abiodun Oloyede, on Tuesday, said the presence of Fulani herdsmen may pose a possible security threat in the community. The memo warned students of the institution to stay indoors at night and be cautious of their movements.

The students were also advised to report any security threat to the Chief Security Officer of the institution.

“This alertness and security awareness arose based on intelligence gathering from the Community on the possible presence of some Fulani herdsmen, which may likely pose a potential security threat that is likely to endanger your movement.

“In view of the above alertness, Management wishes to advise students to ensure that they watch their movement and see that they stay indoors anytime from 9:00 p.m. In case of notice of any security risk/threat in and around your hostels, please feel free to contact the Chief Security Officer of the institution on this phone number: 07033166585 or 07034557451 for prompt and immediate assistance.”
