ADC fixes April 14 for national convention

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the timetable for its nationwide congresses and national convention.

In a statement on Saturday, Bolaji Abdullahi, ADC spokesperson, said the exercise is part of the party’s constitutional process to renew leadership structures across all levels.

According to the schedule, the process will begin with polling unit and ward congresses before progressing to local government and state congresses and culminating in the national convention.

The ADC also said its national convention — where national officers are expected to emerge — will hold on April 14. The party said the polling unit and ward congresses will hold on April 7, while local government area congresses are slated for April 9. The party added that state congresses will take place on April 11.
