Iran warns other countries against actions that could worsen war tensions

1 min read

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has urged countries not to take actions that could worsen the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.

Araghchi spoke during a phone call with France’s foreign minister, Jean-Noël Barrot, where they discussed the impact of the war on Iran and the wider Middle East. According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Araghchi blamed the rising insecurity in the region and the Strait of Hormuz on the actions of the United States and Israel.

He warned other countries to act carefully and avoid steps that could further inflame the situation. “Countries should take a responsible approach and avoid any action that could escalate the conflict,” Araghchi said.

The Iranian minister also stressed that his country would continue to defend its independence and security. He said Iran remains determined to protect its sovereignty and national security.

Araghchi added that Iran’s military operations have been focused only on the military facilities of what he called aggressors, insisting that Iran is not targeting other countries in the region.
