1 min read

Governor Ademola Adeleke has felicitated with the people of Osun State on the advent of the year 2026, describing the new year as an era of victory and prosperity while urging citizens to embrace electoral vigilance and activism. In a New Year message, the governor thanked God for the successes recorded in 2025 and prayed for greater prosperity for all segments of the state in the year ahead.

He acknowledged that 2025 was challenging for Osun due to externally induced constraints but expressed optimism that 2026 would mark liberation from obstacles hindering good governance and the delivery of democratic dividends. Adeleke called on residents to pray for a peaceful, credible and hitch-free electoral process, warning against what he described as plots by “dark forces” to destabilise the state ahead of the governorship election.
