President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria for winning the bronze medal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, describing the achievement as a major source of inspiration to Nigerians at home and abroad. He praised the team for securing third place in the highly competitive continental tournament.
Akpabio conveyed his message in a statement released on Sunday and signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh. According to the Senate President, the Super Eagles displayed courage, discipline, and national pride throughout the tournament, despite the challenges encountered along the way.
He noted that the team’s resilience, especially after narrowly missing a place in the final, had earned them widespread admiration and respect. Akpabio added that the bronze medal finish reflects the fighting spirit of Nigerians and urged the players to build on the performance as they prepare for future international engagements.
