The Ondo State Amotekun Corps has rescued two kidnap victims after a 96-hour operation in the forest. The victims were abducted along Itagbolu Road in Akure North and released unharmed after refusing to pay a N50 million ransom.

Amotekun Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed the rescue and praised the families for their cooperation. He emphasized the corps’s zero-tolerance policy for ransom payments.

In a separate raid, the corps recovered stolen electronics worth over N300 million, originally taken from Lagos and moved to Ondo for resale. The goods will be returned to the rightful owner after legal processes.

Also arrested were two kidnap suspects, a gang leader on the run for six months, a repeat offender caught in Kano, and a suspect involved in herder-related violence.
