Despite reports of a frosty relationship between Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the nation’s First Lady publicly celebrated Osun’s First Lady, Titilola Adeleke, on her 60th birthday.
In a warm congratulatory message posted online, Oluremi Tinubu said she joined Governor Adeleke, the Adeleke family and well-wishers in celebrating Titilola Adeleke on her milestone birthday.
She praised her for her commitment to improving the lives of Osun residents through the Renewed Hope Initiative, noting that her outreach programmes had continued to touch many families across the state.
The First Lady prayed that the celebrant’s new age would bring joy, peace and divine health, adding that she wished her many more fulfilling years.
Oluremi Tinubu’s message read in part: “I join your husband, the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke, your children, family, friends and loved ones to celebrate you, as you mark this milestone of 60 years. I celebrate your commitment to uplifting the good people of Osun State through the Renewed Hope Initiative where you continue to touch many lives. I pray this special day is filled with joy, love and cherished moments.”
Her public greeting has drawn attention because it comes amid reports of tension between both families in recent weeks, yet the First Lady chose to maintain a tone of goodwill and national unity.
She ended her message with, “Happy 60th birthday, Your Excellency.”
