Under the revised fee structure, a 32-page booklet with five-year validity will now cost ₦100,000, while a 64-page booklet with 10-year validity will cost ₦200,000.

Akinlabi explained that the adjustment was designed to safeguard the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport, adding that Nigerians applying from the diaspora would not be affected. For applicants abroad, fees remain unchanged at $150 for the 32-page booklet (five-year validity) and $230 for the 64-page booklet (10-year validity).

The Immigration Service reassured Nigerians of its commitment to delivering efficient services while ensuring accessibility.
