Osun State Police Command has launched a probe into the circumstances surrounding the death of a lady, identified as Bidemi Omole, in Esa-Oke town in Osun State, in the house of her boyfriend, Yinka.
After arriving at her boyfriend’s house on Friday evening, she suddenly took ill and died shortly after. The incident, which occurred around 9:30 pm, it was learnt, threw the community into panic, as many residents reportedly thronged the house of the suspect in Oke Esa Area, as soon as the news of the death spread.
A resident of the neighbourhood, who simply identified as Taye, said the deceased died not long after she arrived at her boyfriend’s house.
“She usually attends vigil on Fridays. The police have arrested the boyfriend. He is with them already.”When contacted on Sunday, Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the incident and revealed the matter was reported to the police on Saturday.
He added that the boyfriend of the deceased had been arrested, as he assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted to unravel the cause of the death.
