The doctors made this known in a letter addressed to the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Olakulehin Olawale, titled “Notification of suspension of industrial action.”

They said they would resume clinical services by 8 a.m. on Thursday, October 2. However, they also emphasized the need for sustained commitment from the government. The letter, dated October 1, 2025, was signed by its President, Dr. Adedokun Stephen, and General Secretary, Dr. Mustapha Adedapo.

The indefinite strike, which began on July 29, was called over poor working conditions, lack of medical equipment, and welfare-related issues, among others.
