The Students’ Union of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has apprehended a suspected fraudster who disguised himself as a female influencer to exploit female undergraduates, whose name is not disclosed.

According to the Union, the suspect—who posed online as Priscilla and Mira—lured students into a WhatsApp group with promises of wealth and later pushed them into exploitative schemes. He was arrested by the Union’s Security Volunteers, with incriminating evidence found during interrogation. Investigations into his social media accounts are ongoing.
