The Court of Arbitration for Sport has confirmed that the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has filed an appeal against CAF’s decision to recognize Morocco as the winners of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Senegalese side is demanding that the current results be annulled and that Senegal be officially reinstated as the tournament’s original and rightful champions.

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, lawyers for the Senegalese federation are insisting on overturning the CAF verdict, which revised the outcome of the final. In its statement, the FSF stresses the need to declare the federation’s decision invalid and to return the gold medals to the “Lions of Teranga,” which they believe were taken away due to improper administrative interference.

The Senegalese are confident in their case and ready to present evidence.
