The Labour Party candidate in the November 16 Ondo governorship election, Olusola Ebiseni, has said the race is between his party and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ebiseni said this on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, two days before the commencement of the off-cycle election in the state.
He also said that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, does not have a chance in the election, stressing how the PDP candidate, Agboola Ajayi, was once a deputy governor of Ondo State.
“This election is going to be about two political parties and their administration.
“There is no PDP in this election. This election is between the Labour Party and the APC. Agboola Ajayi of the PDP was Akeredolu’s first-time deputy governor. Aiyedatiwas of the APC was Akeredolu’s second-term deputy governor, now the incumbent governor.
“If you want to assess their credibility and performance, you will assess them; you will assess the Akeredolu government and the roles they played,” he said.
Ebiseni, while speaking on his chances in the race, said his experience as former local government chairman and commissioner under the Mimiko administration has equipped him for the job.
