Late Brigadier General Omo Braimo, Captain Ismail and other gallant soldiers who paid the supreme price in the line of duty have been laid to rest.
The burial was held at the Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery in Maiduguri, Borno State. Governor Umara Babagana Zulum, Minster of Defense, General Christopher Musa, Senator Ali Ndume, among others attended the event.
The fallen officers were honoured with full military rites, a symbolic recognition of their courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to safeguarding Nigeria’s peace and territorial integrity. Their deaths serve as a stark reminder of the daily risks borne by members of the Armed Forces, officials said at the event.
