Presidential Schools Debate: AbdulRazaq rewards Kwara students, teachers with N7m

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has redeemed his pledge to reward the state’s representatives at the 2025 Presidential Schools Debate, presenting cheques worth N7 million to the victorious students and their teachers.

The presentation, performed on behalf of the Governor by the State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, was held in Ilorin.

He said the gesture was aimed at boosting the morale of both students and teachers while promoting academic excellence.

Each of the four outstanding students received N1 million, while their six teachers got N500,000 each, in recognition of their brilliant performance at the national competition in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Olohungbebe said the reward was meant to encourage excellence and hard work, stressing that the feat reflected the impact of ongoing reforms in the education sector under the AbdulRazaq-led administration.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Olanrewaju Rebecca Bake, commended Governor AbdulRazaq’s consistent support for education and urged the beneficiaries to justify the recognition through greater commitment to their studies and duties.
