Students protest against renaming of Poly Ibadan

The students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State are currently staging a protest over the renaming of the institution to Omololu Olunloyo Polytechnic.

Students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, stage a protest at the Oyo State Government Secretariat, opposing the renaming of the institution after former Governor Omololu Olunloyo. 

The protest has left hundreds of commuters plying Sango-Eleyele Road in Ibadan stranded.

In a reports filled by punch that the State Governor, Seyi Makinde, had renamed the institution in honour of the late former governor of the state, Omololu Olunloyo, who died at the age of 89.
