The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has called on the Lagos State government to ban the operations of commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada riders.
Primate Ayodele said the Lagos State government should apprehend Okada riders involved in nefarious activities and sentence them to 30 years imprisonment as a measure to curtail insecurity.
Addressing his members in a video posted on social media, the popular prophet warned that terrorists are now lurking around Lagos State waiting to strike.
He warned that the terrorists prefer to use Okada to carry out their nefarious activities in Lagos State.
According to Primate Ayodele: “Security alert for Lagos State government, ban Okada in every area of the state. If you don’t ban Okada riders, they will injure Lagos State.
“All these wheelbarrow pushers ban them, ban beggars so that they will not attack Lagos. If they attack Lagos, Nigeria will be thrown into disarray, but these are warnings.
“Pack all these people pretending to be mad, and the government should have a task force that will ban Okada.
“If they arrest any Okada rider, they should be sentenced to 30 years imprisonment, except if it’s official riders like those carrying parcels; if not, send them to jail as a measure to curtail insecurity in Lagos State.
“All these Almajiris and beggars or those people pushing carts, stop them; if you don’t do it, they are suicidal and would shake Lagos State.
“Terrorists are in Lagos but can’t operate now, you will see that they will start in Ogun State in a big way. There is tension everywhere, but the question is how to calm the tension. Ban Okada now because if they want to do anything bad, they do it on Okada as they can’t use a vehicle.”
