Abuja, Nigeria — President Bola Tinubu has approved the extension of Kemi Nandap’s tenure as Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) until December 31, 2026.
In an official statement, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, highlighted Nandap’s distinguished career, which began on October 9, 1989. Under her leadership, the NIS has achieved significant progress in border management, immigration modernization, and national security initiatives.

President Tinubu praised Nandap for her outstanding contributions to the Service, urging her to remain committed to the agency’s strategic priorities. He emphasized that her continued leadership aligns with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on enhancing national security and streamlining migration policies.

Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to the Nigeria Immigration Service, the President assured that necessary support would be provided to enable the agency to safeguard the country’s territorial integrity and promote safe, legal, and orderly migration.
