Tinubu Lands In Lagos After Olubadan’s Coronation

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos on a working visit after attending the coronation of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in Oyo State. His return to the former federal capital comes as Nigeria prepares for a modest celebration of its 65th Independence anniversary.

In a statement signed on Friday night by Senior Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President is scheduled to hold meetings in Lagos with leaders in the private sector as well as top government officials.

His engagements will focus on economic and governance matters while he remains in the state. On Tuesday, September 30, Tinubu is expected in Imo State to inaugurate projects completed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.

In addition, as part of activities for the Independence anniversary, he will officially open the remodelled National Theatre in Lagos, which has been renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.
