Flooding Reported on Mayfair–Ede Road, Ile-Ife, Motorists Advised to Exercise Caution. We have received a situation report indicating heavy flooding along the Mayfair–Ede Road in Ile-Ife. Road users are strongly advised to exercise caution when navigating the area, as the floodwaters may pose risks to both vehicles and pedestrians. Besides stopping vehicular and human traffic for some hours, the flood also damaged property, especially many business premises located along the expressway.
Terribly affected by the downpour include Road 7 within the campus of OAU, the university dam, which overflown its boundary, lockup shops and fuel stations, located along Ife-Ede road, private hostels for students, situated along Ibadan-Ife highway and some neighbourhoods in Modakeke community.
