The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2026 unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) conducted on April 17 and 18.

Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s spokesperson, said in a statement on Sunday evening that 1,264,940 results from the two days are now available for candidates to check.

“The results of candidates who sat the examination on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, 2026, have now been released,” the statement reads.

“A total of 1,264,940 results from these two days are available for candidates to check. “To view their results, candidates should send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number used to register for the 2026 UTME. Benjamin added that the board had earlier released 632,752 results from Thursday’s examination, bringing the total number released so far to 1,897,692.

The development puts to rest concerns among candidates over delays in the release of Friday’s UTME results. On Saturday, Benjamin had said in a post on X that the results would be released before midnight.

However, in a separate post on Sunday, he apologised after the board failed to meet the earlier timeline. “Our Chief Executive was unavailable due to an important engagement but would be in the office today, and we assure you that the results will be released later today, surely before nightfall,” he said.
